Gin and lime cordial, cold. There is nothing in it but the gin, so a Gimlet tells you more about a bottle in one sip than a tasting note will in a paragraph.
You need
Serves one
- 60ml gin
- 20ml lime cordial
- Optional: 5ml fresh lime juice, if your cordial is sweet
Method
- Stir with ice until very cold, or shake if you want it cloudy and brisk.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
Our suggestion: make this with a Navy Strength bottling and cut the gin to 50ml. The extra alcohol carries the botanicals further, which is the whole point of the style.
